Dr Pitch - The Pitchbend Sequencer Max4Live device for freeform melodies Pitchbend is often used and automated on a track, so it's not something that you would ordinarily think about looping. This is the reason I made Dr Pitch and it turns out to be a nice way to make bass lines (amongst other things). In the demo video, all but the polyphonic sections use single note MIDI clips, with the pitch bend applying the note changes. The MIDI output can be recorded on a new channel, fusing the notes and the sequenced pitch bends together. It has the following features: A 1-64 Step sequencer Activation lane to enable/disable pitches Real time recording Forwards, backwards, and ping-pong play modes Multiple playback speeds Randomsation Glide function Grid to guide precise pitches 20 preset slots More information on Dr Pitch on the Gumroad page: https://midierror.gumroad.com/l/drpitch About the author [midierror]: midierror makes nifty Max For Live devices, innovative music hardware, award winning sample packs and hosts a podcast speaking to people in the music world. |
