Tangible waves showed prototypes of their new micro-sized modules where you can fit three of them in the single AE Modular module space. Micro Modules How small is too small? People already talk about the fiddliness of Eurorack and how formats like 1U are really not the way to go. AE Modular is already a fraction of the size of Eurorack and now Tangible Waves wants to introduce their own take on the 1U format with micro-modules. They are ridiculously small. Apparently, the idea came from the community of users who want a bit more flexibility in an even smaller space. You can fit three of them together in the space of a single AE Modular module and you’ll need a special backplate for them to plug into. Currently, there is a range of utility modules like an LFO, dual VCA, Mixer, Probability Gate, Mults and so on. The mini modular format seems to be going from strength to strength with now four third party manufacturers making modules. AE Modular 3rd party modules Tangible waves are on booth 0265.
