The original system used a control box that attached to your guitar. But now, the company is looking to launch the next stage of production via Indiegogo with plans to go wireless. ADVERTISEMENT Noatronic ditches the cables This Naotronic system allows guitar players to control their effect pedals using MIDI, via the guitar’s tone control pot. And now, the company has partnered with RTX to create a 2.4GHz band wireless version, so you no longer need to run extra cabling to rig it all up. Just affix the wireless transmitter to your guitar strap, so it won’t get in your way. It employs a transmitter and receiver system that negates the use of extra cabling. Noatronic goes wireless with MIDI control for your guitar Retro Fit As with the original 2019 system, you will need to swap your standard tone potentiometer out for one of the Noatronic ones. This will then send the MIDI controller data to your MIDI-equipped stompboxes, and Noatronic’s Soren Andersen says there is only a 4ms latency, which is practically imperceptible to us humans. Noatronic system I like that the modification to your guitar involves no routing. All you need to do is break out a soldering iron to get up and running. I have a feeling this system could prove popular with players that like to tweak effects and experiment with their effect parameters in real-time, whilst performing.
