DAD announces Multichannel Dante samplerate converter NTP Technology announce the Penta 721s-DNT Multichannel Dante Samplerate Converter. Penta 721s-DNT is a 64 channel Dante Samplerate Converter that lets you mix and match Dante networks with different sample rates. Penta 721s-DNT comes with two Dante interfaces. One of them, shown with light-blue colour, supports 128 channels at 44.1/48 kHz, 64 ch. at 88.2/96 kHz and 32 ch. at 176.4/192 kHz. This Dante interface includes the samplerate converter towards the second Dante interface. The second Dante interface, shown in dark blue, supports 64 channels at 44.1/48 kHz, 32 ch. at 88.2/96 kHz and 16 ch. at 176.4/192 kHz. This combination can for example provide SRC betwen 64 ch. at 96 kHz on one side and 64 ch. at 48 kHz on the other side, so no loss of channel count in this case. The samplerate converter is designed for low-latency operation. Worst case latency for the samplerate conversion is always below 1 msec. The "dark blue" side also includes 8 AES I/O and one coax MADI, and can optionally also be configured with a further two MADI I/O. So Penta 721s-DNT can not only do Dante to Dante SRC, but also do Dante to/from MADI and AES conversion. Penta 721s also includes an audio router so any input channel can be routed to any, and even multiple, output channels. Also included is a 256 x 32 summing mixer and manual gain control. The redundant power supply and compact size makes Penta 721s-DNT ideal for live sound, though it is also perfect for both music studios, post-production and broadcast.
