QQ Music Inserts Audio Advertising for Music Promotion BEIJING, May 26 (TMTPost) -- Multiple users of QQ Music reported that they were forced to listen to advertising for about 15 seconds when switching between songs on the music streaming app. Non-VIP users of QQ Music were not able to close or skip the ads. QQ Music had responded that these were trial audio recommendations for new launches from music artists, which were tested among a small number of non-VIP users. When users are switching between songs, they might hear an audio advertisement from music artists recommending their new songs, QQ Music said. The music streaming platform clarified that they have not received any feedback that suggests VIP users had also encountered the ads. |
